Located in the Tourist Complex of Grotte del Cavallone, at the departure station of the cableway of Cavallone, a 700 m .s.l.m., the "Trekking Point – Taranta Valley" is the perfect place to plan your excursions on the highest peaks of Majella. Mountain professionals enrolled in the Abruzzo Regional College Alpine Guides (special list of Mountain Guides), will guide you with safety, professionalism and competence through the paths of the Majella National Park. Excursions can be: short, about 2 hours before or after the visit to the Grotte del Cavallone, or for one or more days.
We offer tours suitable for all types of users and with varying degrees of difficulty.
On weekends we offer an exciting excursion to Monte Amaro, the Majella Massif's highest peak, even at night. You plan an overnight stay and dinner in a refuge outfitted at high altitude.
Besides being a reference for lovers of mountain, Trekking Point is a place of relaxation, with a reading room, video projections, photographic exhibition.
A spacious bar allows for a "special" excursion "among the typical food and wine rooms, kitchen with possibility to eat cold dishes, sandwiches, platters with brand products Majella, barbecued meat and KEBABS with crusty bread and olive oil.
